Cute Halloween Table Runner

Today I thought I would share with you this really cute Halloween table runner that we have on display this month!

The pattern is called “Ms. Bindweed’s Boots.”  The table runner’s finished size is 15.5” wide and fits a table up to 76” long with a 15” drop.  The adorable witch’s boots hang off of both ends of the table runner and the pattern gives you the chance to add a lot of charm with the details:

Do you already have a Halloween table runner?  No problem!  There’s a Christmas version of the table runner pattern.  This one is called “Jingle Boots” and we have these in stock on the pattern wall.  So cute!

Thinking of Christmas

If you haven’t been in to the shop lately you may not be aware that right now we have a really nice variety of Christmas fabrics in stock.  And I know some of you hate to hear this, but it’s time to get started on your Christmas sewing!

New Fall Fabrics

Now that Fall is officially here, I’m starting to crave pumpkin everything!  Pumpkin candles, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin pie….

Our weather will be turning colder this week and it will start to feel like fall outside.  Inside, we have some great new fall flavored fabrics on the shelves.

Surfin’ Time

Have a surfer dude at your house?  We have some great new surf & beach themed fabrics in stock.  These would be great for shirts, pajama pants, quilts, pillows…

I could totally see any of these being used in a surf themed teen bedroom!

Triangles and More Triangles

If you’ve been in the shop in the past couple of weeks you have probably noticed one of our newest and most stunning display quilts:

Heather made this delightful quilt using fabrics from the Ashbury Heights line from Riley Blake.  To see more of the fabrics click here.

The rich colors are just so lovely. 

The quilt pattern Heather used is this one from Moda and we have them for sale in the shop.  It’s a great pattern and there’s no reason to be intimidated by the triangles. 

For the quilt back Heather chose a soft and cuddly purple minky for the backing – a popular choice for quilt backs this time of year.  Have you ever tried using minky on a quilt back?  I’ve done several now and they’ve quilted up beautifully with no puckers or other problems.  And my kids love them!  Try a minky backing for your next quilt!

Fall Shop Hop

Is everyone back into the swing of things with school yet?  Here at my house we’re trying to make the most of all of the fun fall activities while still leaving time for homework.  It’s a tough balance.  The good news is that with the fall weather and fall activities comes something else to look forward to!  It’s almost time for the next shop hop!  We’re busy getting ready and making preparations.  Mark it in your calendar now -



There will be a free 12” block and project patterns at every shop along with games, treats and prizes! We can’t wait!

New! Super Hero fabrics from Riley Blake

These are the adorable (and very popular) Super Hero fabrics from Riley Blake.  Each panel has everything to make a cape, mask, belt and cuffs.  We have a sample cape hanging in the shop and the youngsters LOVE it.
