This gorgeous quilt is one of our newest display quilts and guess what – this is a quick and easy (really!) quilt to make and it doesn’t even require a pattern. This is called a Jelly Roll Race quilt and all you need is one jelly roll and one hour. No kidding!
You can find a
fantastic video tutorial here (from the Missouri Quilt Co). Jenny is a great teacher, and takes you through each step. By the end of the short video you’ll be ready to tackle this quilt yourself.
Now I know many of you have already made a Jelly Roll Race quilt and are ready for the next level, am I right? Well, we have an
entire Pinterest board dedicated to Jelly Roll Race quilt ideas.
Go and check it out HERE. You can see how the quilt changes depending on the fabrics used – the Christmas and patriotic ones are my favorite. And I love the way some quilters have added colorful appliques to their quilts. The one with the jumbo ric rac around the border is adorable too (by the way, we carry a large selection of jumbo ric rac at the shop!)
We’re big fans of the Jelly Roll Race quilt! Stop by the shop this week, grab a jelly roll and before you know it you’ll have a completed quilt. If you make one, we’d love to see it!
