I can't believe we're already at the end of October!  Here's what's new around the shop -

I love the little princesses and the little pink-flagged castle - so sweet!

This main print is adorable as well.  I can just see it used as a border on a quilt!

Trick or Treat

What a great time we had a the shop hop last week!  It was so fun to meet so many of you and hear what you are working on.  

Now the countdown to Halloween has begun - 1 week left!  There's still time to put together a few more projects to get your house ready for the big day.  We are out of kits for this cute wall hanging, but the pattern is still available.  This would be great hanging in your entry way or decorating your table top for this last week of October!

We also have just a couple more of these Monster Quilt Kits.  So, so, cute!

Right now all of the Halloween fabrics are $3 off per yard so it's the perfect time to stop by the shop and get the fabric you need to make some trick-or-treat bags or a spiderweb table topper (instructions for both are free here on our blog!  Click on the "tutorials" tab.)

It's Here!

It's here!  The Beehive Shop Hop began today and runs through Saturday, October 20th.  I couldn't give away our shop's treasure hunt location, but here are a few visual clues:

Stop by and see where we've chosen to go on our treasure hunt!  Pick up a passport and have it stamped at all of the shops on the map and be entered to win some great treasures.  We have passports and maps to help you get started.  See you soon!

All Lined Up

One of the newest fabric lines we have in the shop is Mama Said Sew by Moda:

We have the entire line in yardage as well as charm packs and jelly rolls.  

We also carry a fantastic Jelly Roll quilt pattern:

The pattern is called "All Lined Up" (58" x 79")  and is designed by our very own Carol Lawson.  The fabric requirements for the pattern are:

• 1 Jelly Roll plus 2 additional 2-1/2" strips
• 1-1/2 yard coordinating fabric for borders
• 5/8 yard binding
• 3-1/2 yard backing

Grow With Me

I wanted to show you these cute charm packs we have in the shop right now:

It's a Moda line called Grow With Me.  If you are in need of a quick & easy baby gift then this is the charm pack you  need.  Pair one charm pack with a 1/4 yard of binding and a yard of fabric for the backing and you can whip this up in no time:

(measures about 27" x 31")

If you prefer the look of sashing between the blocks, then here's a version for you:

This one would finish at about 38" x 43"

The sashing between blocks are cut at 2" wide.  So you would need 5/6 yard of sashing fabric.  For binding you need 3/8 yard and the backing will require 1-1/3 yard.
