Hemstitching Kits

 hemstitched kits 1

Did you know that we have one of the valley’s largest selection of hemstitch kits?  Yes!
I had to take four separate photos just to be able to show you our selection.

Each kit contains 1 blanket (36” x 41”) and 1 burp pad.  All are professionally hemstitched and ready for you to crochet the edge.

These make wonderful gifts for new moms.

Jelly Roll Race quilt tutorial

This gorgeous quilt is one of our newest display quilts and guess what – this is a quick and easy (really!) quilt to make and it doesn’t even require a pattern.  This is called a Jelly Roll Race quilt and all you need is one jelly roll and one hour.  No kidding!

 Jelly Roll Race quilt

You can find a fantastic video tutorial here (from the Missouri Quilt Co).  Jenny is a great teacher, and takes you through each step.  By the end of the short video you’ll be ready to tackle this quilt yourself.

Now I know many of you have already made a Jelly Roll Race quilt and are ready for the next level, am I right?  Well, we have an entire Pinterest board dedicated to Jelly Roll Race quilt ideas.  Go and check it out  HERE.  You can see how the quilt changes depending on the fabrics used – the Christmas and patriotic ones are my favorite.  And I love the way some quilters have added colorful appliques to their quilts.  The one with the jumbo ric rac around the border is adorable too (by the way, we carry a large selection of jumbo ric rac at the shop!)

We’re big fans of the Jelly Roll Race quilt!  Stop by the shop this week, grab a jelly roll and before you know it you’ll have a completed quilt.  If you make one, we’d love to see it!
