Thinking Green

 stack of green fabrics

Now that it’s March, I’m in the mood for green!  I’m really looking forward to spring and to try and hurry it along, I’m working on a few projects using fresh, green fabrics.

I love that print on the top of the stack.  It’s a new one from Moda (designed by Pat Sloan from the One for You One for Me line) and it has all of these fun sayings on it.  What a great addition it would be to your Spring projects!

Be sure to check back here next week for a new tutorial using some of these green prints!

So Happy Together

I thought today I’d show you one of our newest display quilts.  This is a raw edge squares quilt created by Trisha:

She used fabrics from the So Happy Together line by Riley Blake.  Have you seen these?  They are indeed happy fabrics!

Trisha’s quilt is so sweet.  Stop by the shop and check it out.  While you’re here grab some of the So Happy Together fabrics – they’re not going to last long!

Some Sewing For March

Grab some green fabrics – it’s March!  Time to start thinking about decorating for spring.  For anyone needing a quick project this month I wanted to show you this Moda Bakeshop Tutorial I spotted:

It’s called the “Luck of the Irish Table Topper” and the tutorial can be found here.  The square topper above measures 30” x 30” and the second option (below) measures 12” x 36”.

I love the look of the scallops on the first table topper, but since I’m a fan of shortcuts I think I’ll just use some large green ricrac.  We have a big selection of green fabrics right now – scribble down the fabric requirements and stop on by the shop!

I'll be back tomorrow with a peek at our new shop display and some great new bag patterns we have available!

Gypsy Girl + quilt kit

I'm back again with another great quilt kit that we have available at the shop.

If you've been into our shop you may have noticed this beautiful quilt hanging behind the register:

I'm completely in love with everything about this quilt!  It is made using the Gypsy Girl pattern by  Anka's Treasures.  The finished quilt measures 69" x 83"

Even the packaged quilt kit is gorgeous - those grays, greens and yellows are the perfect springtime palette!

The kit sells for $93.00 and is available in the shop or by ordering over the phone (801) 225-3123
